WHO WE ARE
Lerici Music Festival
The Lerici Music Festival, now in its 10th year, represents a one-of-a-kind experience. Its specialness stems from its Founder and Artistic Director Gianluca Marcianò and his passion to honour his hometown and create a music festival in his birthplace.
Over centuries Lerici has been treasured by writers, painters and composers for its particular beauty and its inspiration is reflected in their works. Located on the Gulf of Poets with gem-coloured buildings nestling into the hills surrounding the bay, protected by Lerici Castle on one headland and San Terenzo Castle on the other, Lerici Music Festival honours its small towns and their people.
The festival draws musicians and festival audiences from around the world and that international flavour, as well as its social mission to develop young, emerging artists alongside international musicians sharing and learning from each other, defines it.
Previously managed by the Suoni dal Golfo Cultural Association the festival is now overseen by the Lerici Cultura ETS Foundation. It is a member of the prestigious European Festivals Association and supported by the Ministry of Culture (MiC), the Liguria Region, and the Municipality of Lerici, while drawing most of its resources from a significant network of friends and enthusiasts who support it and who, to this day, constitute one of its distinctive features.
