THE INTERPRETER
Anna Kravtchenko, piano
Her radiant sound and poetical interpretations could sometimes reduce audiences to tears The New York Times, Harold Schonberg Joyful piano playing to warm the heart and thrill the senses The Daily Telegraph, Geoffrey Norris Few pianists boast such a luminous, light yet sharp touch. Ideal for mastering the high piano register as intended by Liszt (and Chopin, his other chosen author), whose torrential force and taste for thematic complexity he can also musically address. But of Kravtchenko even more enchanting are authority, executive naturalness and interpretive fluency. The Republic, Angelo Foletto What could be more sumptuous and exciting than the sound of Anna Kravtchenko? There is something Caravaggesque in his pianism, a kind of sumptuous intoxication of sound and at the same time pictorial matter that seems to swell in the air and the senses. Magazine Music, Gianni Gori A charismatic pianist with a “luminous sound and poetic interpretations that can bring the listener to tears” (New York Times), Italian-Ukrainian ANNA KRAVTCHENKO, with her unmistakable style and extraordinary expressive power, the result of her authentically spiritual nature, makes each of her concerts an enthralling and enlightening experience.
