Carly Paoli, soprano
Classical Brit nominee, BBC Music Ambassador, Carly Paoli, English soprano with Italian roots, described by Pope Francis as having, ‘the voice of an angel,’ has headlined in some of the world’s great concert halls and at Windsor Castle and St James’ Palace singing for HRH Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. At Terme di Caracalla Carly headlined a UNICEF concert with Andrea Bocelli and José Carreras, and at the Roman Forum in ‘Music for Mercy’ in honour of Pope Francis’ Jubilee Year of Mercy. She has released 4 critically acclaimed albums, the latest called ‘Carly Paoli & Friends’ featuring a series of duets with – amongst others -Ramin Karimloo, Elaine Paige, Tony Hadley, Aled Jones and Joseph Calleja. Last Christmas her film, ‘Christmas at the Castle,’ was shown on Sky TV and TV2000 in Italy. Another film with some of the artists from her new album will be broadcast later this year. Carly appeared in Malta with the BBC Concert Orchestra and on stage at The Royal Albert Hall as part of the televised Royal Variety Performance in front of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, on tour with Aled Jones and on television in programmes celebrating the Platinum Jubilee. She sang the National Anthems for Italy and England at the San Siro Stadium, marking the first occasion that ‘God Save the King’ was sung at an international football match. Recently she performed on ‘Carols at Christmas’ on ITV and on ‘Classic FM’ in a carol concert from St Paul’s Cathedral in front of HRH The Duchess of Wessex. She has continued her close relationship with her Italian roots with many performances on RAI Uno and the concert platform. She is working on her new album due to be released later this year.

Elly Suh, violino
Praised as “a sensitive and absorbing interpreter” (Musical America), violinist Elly Suh has received numerous prizes at international competitions including the Naumburg, Moscow David Oistrakh, Premio Paganini, Indianapolis, Michael Hill, and Leipzig Bach Competition, amongst others. Recent and forthcoming highlights include performances with the Orchestra della Toscana, Orchestra della Magna Grecia, Berliner Symphoniker, Korean Chamber Orchestra, Leipzig Pauliner Ensemble, NY Classical Players, and the Lviv Philharmonic. She has appeared on such stages as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Seoul Arts Center, Lotte Concert Hall, and performed at the Salzburger Festspiele, Al Bustan Festival, and Lerici Festival. Elly Suh studied at The Juilliard School in New York and the Mozarteum University of Salzburg under the guidance of Pierre Amoyal, Robert Mann, Joel Smirnoff, and Sally Thomas. She plays on a Guarneri del Gesù violin, through the kind assistance of Florian Leonhard Fine Violins.

Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, bandoneon
Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi was born in Atessa on December 26th 1980. He began studying the accordion at the age of nine before switching to the bandoneon later. From 1993 to 2001, he studied at the F. Fenaroli Civic Music school in Lanciano with M° C. Calista and with M° C. Chiacchiaretta. In 2007, he graduated with honours from Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome. In 2006, he resided at the Montreal Jazz Festival “I colori del mare” with Gabriele Mirabassi and Pietro Tonolo a project of the EGEA record company. On 25th May 2009, he played at the Colosseo (Rome) with M° Andrea Bocelli, Angela Gheorghiu, Andrea Griminelli and the Abruzzo Symphony Orchestra. The event “L’alba separa dalla luce l’ombra” was in aid of the earthquake victims of Abruzzo. It was exclusively broadcast worldwide on RAI 1 and RAI SAT. On December 25th 2010, he performed with the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana in Concerto per la Vita e per la Pace (Concert for Life and Peace), worldwide broadcast by RAI in Bethlehem. On June 1st 2011, he performed at the Arena of Verona together with Erwin Schrott during the festivities for the 150th anniversary of the Italian unification. The show was broadcast live by Rai 1. Together with Erwin Schrott and Anna Netrebeko, he performed in the most important cities in Germany, England and Denmark in 2012. In the same year, he recorded the DVD “Live in Portofino” on a guest appearance with Andrea Bocelli. In 2013, he performed on a guest appearance with Andrea Bocelli, Riccardo Cocciante, Pino Daniele and Simona Molinari at the event “Teatro del Silenzio”. On February 22 2014, he performed at the Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul together with Andrea Bocelli. In 2018 recorded “Tango Seasons” for Sony Records, alongside Andrés Gabetta leading the fantastic baroque ensemble Cappella Gabetta. In 2021, on the occasion of Astor Piazzolla’s centenary, he realised a performance entitled ‘Astor’ alongside the Ballet of Rome. In 2022, alongside actor John Malkovich, he realised the premiere of a show entitled ‘The Infamous Ramirez Hoffman’ at the Lisbon and Sintra Film Festivals. Apart from frequently performing in Italy, he has been giving concerts in England, France, Belgium, Denmark, Croatia, Serbia, Germany, the U.S.A., Poland, Portugal, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Canada, Armenia, Russia, Israel, Ukraina, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Turkia, Libano, Belarus, Bahrain, Dubai and Cina.

Gianluca Marcianò, pianoforte
Praised by the SundayTimes for “his unfailingly theatrical and idiomatic conducting”, Gianluca Marcianò is the Principal Conductor of Orchestra della Magna Grecia in Taranto and Matera (Italy), Principal Guest Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director of Al Bustan Festival, and Artistic Director of Chelsea Opera Group. Originally from Lerici, Marcianò made his debut in 2006 at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Since that moment on, he has built very strong ties with the Opera Houses of Oviedo, Minsk, and Ljubjana, as well as in the UK (English National Opera, Grange Park Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera North, and Longborough Opera Festival). Marcianò founded the Suoni dal Golfo Festival in his hometown overlooking the Gulf of Poets, renamed Lerici Music Festival in 2020. In 2017, he receives the Honorary Citizenship of the City of Lerici for his achievements and in 2018 has been awarded the Pavlova Award. His discography includes the album “Momento Immobile”, recorded for Rubicon Classics, with soprano Venera Gimadieva and Hallé Orchestra.
